Um, sorry - no dear. The retail holiday season starts the last week of August, it's just taht it's usually in the stockroom and not so public. PUBLICLY the retail holiday season starts in October, by the second week most stores have at least STARTED setting up displays. People say X-mas comes ealier every year but I've worked a lot of retail for the last ten years and to ME - it seems to start the same time each year.
But yes - Black Friday is one particualr day and can't simply be 'moved' unless Thanksgiving is ALSO moved. Walmart is just trying a marketting gimmick in an attemtp to up their sales. And it will probably work, too. Money, money, money; it's the American way. :/
