No jokes this time.
Sep. 20th, 2003 02:37 pmI just heard that a good friend/business partner of mine had to be committed to the hospital/psych ward/detox.
She let the stresses of the world get to her - it took her down familiar bad roads. We tried to talk to her about it, but it just resulted in her becoming more secretive....
This morning it all blew up - now, because of all I know, she's gonna lose her house, car & job. Everything she fought so hard to get is now gone.
This is the second time I've had to watch a friend go thru this....both times I realized that there was only so much I could do -- the type of help and support she needed was there, she just didn't want it.
I write all that to say this....we all have our likes and addictions. Some are good, some are harmful, some are mental and some are physical. If you think things are too much to bear, whether it's a family member, friend (or some quasi-anonymous guy on LJ) -- talk to someone.
If you think there is no light at the end of the tunnel, maybe you're looking at the wrong end....
