Let's Give 'Em Something to Talk About...
Jun. 25th, 2010 03:00 pmSomething to think about...
You have a private dinner arranged - you can invite 3 'famous' people: One from Entertainment, One from Political Realm and One who is Deceased/Crossed Over/Whatever.
Who would you invite for the most Interesting Night of your Life?
Me? Whoopi Goldberg, Rush Limbaugh and Richard Pryor (mid-70s, right after he healed from "The Fire").
What conversations and discussions! Once the wine and scotch flows and the cigars are lit, I have a sneaking suspicion that they would have more in common that any of them thought.
What Say You?

Thinking differently today...
Sep. 2nd, 2008 12:49 pmLet's try something.
Call it giving credit where credit is due...call it love...call it blowing smoke up someone's skirt...call it what you want. Sometimes you just have to let the 'world' know about someone.
What one person on LJ are you proud of...and why?
I know there are many, but let's keep it simple today.
========
I choose
onceupon - not because it's her birthday, but because of all I have seen her do - for herself, for others. And she makes me smile and think - two things that can be in short supply.

Do I have to repost this?
Do you work out?
Do you have any tips or pointers?
No darling, you don't have to. I'd love to see what questions people would ask you... :)
I really don't...I should, but I don't. I just try to do little things for my body to keep kinda healthy and adjust when I think I need it.
Pointers? Hmm. Something is better than nothing. Take your vitamins. Don't beat yourself up when you stray. Yearly doc appointments of all kinds. Drink water. Cut down on sodas unless they are made of cane/real sugar and not syrups. Drink water when you go out for dinner. Don't pressure yourself into cleaning your plate or not taking half (or more) home for another meal. Love your body...others will. ;)

solledrache: what do your favorite shoes look like? :-)
They would be my combat-ish boots from Rockport. Had them for many years, look great, comfortable and go well with jeans, khakis and kilts.

Ever since I was a wee one, I loved computers. From about 6th grade on, I knew it was what I wanted to do with my career. Many, many, many years later, I love computers - but the skills I possess have me at an interesting crossroads. To be paid what I'm worth means going back into corporate America. Don't. Wanna. I like my soul just where it is right now, don't want the DeathEaters attacking it again.
Trying to figure out if/where I can go and use my skills in a non-corporate environment. Right now, I got nothin'.

Everyone has things they blog about.
Everyone has things they don't blog about.
Challenge me out of my comfort zone by telling me something I don't blog about, but you'd like to hear about, and I'll write a post about it. Ask for anything: latest movie watched, last book read, political leanings, thoughts on lima beans, favorite type of underwear, graphic techniques, etc.
Repost in your own journal so that we can all learn more about each other! {Just understand that the answer might be "Nunya" or "I'll tell you in private"}
