Need some old-time TV geek help.

Late 80s - early 90s.

Pre-Letterman on CBS.

They had something called "Crime Time after Prime Time", with several shows "Forever Knight, Dark Justice, Sweating Bullets, Silk Stalkings (before USA picked it up)"...and one more.

About a detective with a bad hand who still solved crimes even though he had been delegated to a do-nothing, non-essential department. 

Anybody remember the name?  It may have been produced in Canada or England.  It's driving me crazy!

One of my favorite TV quotes ever comes from this show:

Detective runs up to door of house as bad guys are chasing him.  Black woman answers:

Detective:  Do you have a back door?
Black Woman: Yes.
Detective: Where is it?
Black Woman (with attitude): It's In The Back!
