Why is it, whenever I have to deal with a flyer/email/prompt/question about the Corporate Charity Of Choice and my decision not to participate, do I feel like I'm living in The Chocolate War?

I'm going home...

I think it is in the particular charitie's rule book for companies to make non-participating employees feel like shit. I have heard similar complaints from people that work elsewhere.

What charities you donate to should be treated like religion; totally your choice. People who expalin with passion the good things that a certain chaity has done is very inspiring. But some people have a particual method for who and what they donate to and why that I feel should be respected. I donate what I can to large cirisis and cancer aid/research charities (too many to list) but generally I prefer to donate to whatever effects me personally, esecially if it isn't an organization that's well know.
People shouldn't give you shit over something like that. A good personel rule is; my money is my money. Unless the way I spend it directly effects you or your credit rateing - keep your trap shut.
