First of all, many thanks to those of you who have donated various amounts to helpirana and her family in their time of need....
...In terms of how she is doing,irana is in good spirits, but is still in the ICU on a drip to control her blood pressure. It will take some time (a few days) to wean down the drip and find a combination of medications that will work well to control her blood pressure. Her heart rate and breathing rate are also still high, but these should improve as her body gets rid of the extra fluid off her lungs. In possibly the best news yet, she has already noticed an improvement in her energy level and is actually eating! Eventually, she will be moved into a regular room until she is on the right cocktail of meds and from there she can go home. At that point, she'll be under the care of her primary care doc and a cardiologist.
