And he did.

Due to fortunate circumstances, I came across two tickets to see Prince here in Atlanta.

Morris Day and The Time were the surprise opening act - they jammed for 50 minutes.

After uttering the above statement, Prince played for almost 3 hours....his acoustic set had more songs than most headliners.

Lines of the night:

"Real Music by Real Musicians"

"I'm gonna make you feel like it's the weekend."

"Ya'll ain't gonna kill me up in here" (after an extended jam session...)

"You guys better sing...this ain't no lip-syncing concert."

"And I've never had any surgery on my nose..."

This was the 5th time I've seen Prince in concert over the last 20 years. As much as I loved Wendy & Lisa and the rest of the Revolution -- his current band with Candy Dulfer (I so want her) and Maceo Parker supplying the horns, is the tightest group he's ever had.

Best. Concert. EVAR.

Up until a couple of years ago I had ALL of them, including some imports.

Stoopid lack-of-work-selling-on-eBay....

My sister saw him about 15 years ago in Dallas. She said it was one the best shows she had ever seen too. She said he is the sexiest 5' ever:)

One day, i shall see him.

*swoons* Oh gawd.. For years I used to say that I was going to bear that man's chillun's!

I've never had the chance to see him in concert, but I had the joy of literally bumping into him walking out of one of the stores in the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania (near Valley Forge) the day after he played at the Tower Theatre on 69th Street. I think I will always remember that day!

You bastard!
