This confession is going to get me smacked by at least fifty people, probably, but...
...I did make my own church sign, once.
At one time, back when I had terrible insomnia, I found it an amusing hobby to go out in the middle of the night and rearrange letters on signboards. Most of them were mildly clever but not so much that they've stayed in my memory.
But one year, at Christmas, the church nearest my home had a very long message displayed, with all the right letters for me to spell out this:
SATAN LOVES YOU!
I gotta say, the locals were not pleased. I, however, still chuckle over that one. :-D
