I don't hate all covers on principle, infact I really dig good covers.... but it pisses me off when idiots think that just because they have a recording contract that they're allowed to mangle classics. On principle, I am extrememly judgemental of any and all Beatles covers but I'm quite fond of Godhead's 'Elenor Rigby', Toad the Wet Sprocket's 'Hey Bulldog' and Cheaptrick's recording of 'Daytripper'. It just makes me feel like killing and crying all at the same time when people mangle good songs.
Yeah, that's one of my soapboxes. I'll stop now.
