Jan. 23rd, 2006 09:34 pmI love my cats - really, I do. But some days...
Story behind the shot:
About 5:00AM, my cat Mickey got her nails/paw stuck between the frame and the mattress of the bed as she was probably testing out one of her acrobatic, mid-air leaps. To say it jolted me awake was an understatement.
Mickey and I had a miscommunication - I was trying to free her, she thought I was trying to kill her, making all the appropriate noises.
The goddess mafioso Cutie decided that I was being attacked and came to my aid (or was just bored or wanted Mickey to shut up).
Which caused this sandwich:
Scared Screaming Stuck-to-the-mattress-by-her-paw Cat
My Arm and Hand
Powerful Protector Pissed-off Pussy Cat
'Nuff said.
----------------
All cats are OK - but my finger has a hell of a gash that almost needed stitches and my arm has scratches that looks like I've been in a cat fight...literally.
Had an appointment with the doc today anyway, hence the tetanus shot.
Thus endeth the lesson. *bows*

Date: 2006-01-24 03:00 am (UTC)I mean... aw, poor baby! That must smart.
I can relate. No, seriously. Yeah, really. I have two scars at my temples and a couple more inside my mouth from when I unwittingly carried a stray alley cat home only to be welcomed by an infuriated Pickles. The stray used me as a climbing pole and then jumped off my head to get out of harm's way. I was an adolescent, and nearly gave my mom a heart attack since head wounds bleed so much. I think that tetanus shot hurt more than the 25+ stitches I got, though.
Oh, by the way.. *points at icon* Pickles is still alive and territorial.. 18 years old now!

Date: 2006-01-24 04:33 pm (UTC)at least you didn't have to also deal with the fun that is having to give antibiotic pills to Lieutenant.
*shiver*
Vernard had me around to help the last couple of days, but there's a few more days of pills left for her to take and I'm not there to help now..
Oh, man..
