I've recently moved all important info to an external hard drive, but I should probably make a backup of that too...

I have a Mac which has Time Machine. Backups are totally automatic and run all the time. If my computer crashed and died right now (which it won't, because, hello, brand new and shiny!) I wouldn't have to worry at all about my precious data.
