You took my answer which oddly enough i have never heard of anyone else that even read this book. from the time i was a young girl i have read this book every year at least 5 times. And you are more then likely going to be the only person to get this....

i love a pickle day.

so to answer the question. A tree grows in brooklyn.

"Stranger in a Strange Land", er, damnit, "Atlas Shrugged" would probably be the better option. I want to be Dagny Taggart when I grow up. Either one.

just wanted to say that even though i'm not sure it describes ME, "atlas shrugged" is probably my favorite book of all time. :)

Actually, I've yet to add that one to my collection, but I have picked it up and leafed through it several times.

I'm considering giving a copy to my sister as a wedding present.

if there were only one..i could pretend but the list would have to include "Illusions: the adventures of a reluctant messiah" by richard bach, "the prophet" by kahlil jibran, "time enough for love" by robert heinlen, and probably something silly by piers anthony.

What [livejournal.com profile] sibylla said. There are many... starting with "Where the Wild Things Are" by Maurice Sendak & growing up from there. :-)
