Starting to feel social again post-DragonCon - wanting to see friends and thinking of making monies appear to go see friends across the country. I have Coffee dates, wine tastings, parties to attend. I have people to see and help and love on and fix their computers. The choices are endless... :)

Lot of stress and strife out there right now...don't take yourself and the world so seriously. Breathe and smile more.

Summer is quickly coming to a close...go out there and enjoy the male/female eye candy before clothes start coming back on.

What are you reading?

I am about halfway through Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel. It is emotionally gripping and very well-written, if a bit too familiar (I too, have clinical depression, and have been on anti-depressants).

Funny you should ask. I've been out of the book loop for a bit, but i'm planning to dive back in this week. I'm starting with the final in the Kushiel series, and then i want to catch up on my Merry Gentry, and then maybe something a bit more to chew on.

Just a friendly reminder. We have a guest room (even has a bed:)!!), several coffee shops, and our local wine/beer store has free tastings on Saturdays. And we have a great place for Thai food.
Oh, and the leaves will start to be pretty soon.

Just reading parenting type magazines at the moment. Any time I pick up a book of late Mattias seems to know it whether he is awake or sleeping and starts screaming for me.

I am also reading little kids books to Mattias.

There is a guest room here. It has a pull out sleeper sofa but I have 2 different space foam mattress toppers that equal about 3 inches of space foam. So it is comfy. You would have to put up with a neurotic cat and a toddler though.

Your licking cat icon made me smile. I needed it. Thank you, and currently I am reading articles for my scifi and religion class.

I just started All the Men in the Sea about 20 minutes ago. I usually shy away from non-fiction but this one was highly recommended to me so I thought I'd give it a shot.

My college degree in anthropology made me pick up this one from my great aunt's house when we were packing things up. The Prehistory of Sex by Timothy Taylor.

She had quite a varied library I got to raid :)
