Funny... I know they perform... I have seen them talk on television.. but have never heard them perform... The girls go crazy... I teach boys.. they could care less
You made me feel better. They preformed on Dick Clark's New Years Eve show and I was so not impressed with them. I could not figure out other then the fact that they are cute why people where going crazy about them.
I maybe slightly bias when it comes to the Hanson brothers since I have meet then and played Laser Quest(laser tag) with them a couple of times. They were huge fans of the game. And they seemed like really nice people.
But I think the Hanson brothers sounded better then the Jonas brothers sing wise. Granted the set up the Jonas brothers had may have been crap and that was part of the reason they sounded bad when I heard them the one time they sang on New Years Eve. And I will admit the Jonas' song lyrics where better then the Hanson's songs lyrics.
I had lyrical content in mind when I wrote that, but not having listened to the Jonas brothers ever, I just youtubed both groups, and the music snob in me has to admit that you are right. Whining and squeaking out a simple melody with no harmony doesn't quite compare to Hanson. Mmmmbop was at least vocally decent with tight harmony. I also like that the kids weren't completely affected. They seemed like real kids acting like kids, whereas the Jonas Brothers were trying desperately to be adult pigs. Woot.
Yeah The Hanson brothers were pretty down to earth when I meet them. They just wanted to fit in a play some laser tag. And this was during the height of there singing career. They where more then happy to sign autographs for who ever asked. But for the most part they just wanted people to treat them as if they where any one else. They were nice enough to by some of the regulars some games, but other then that they fit pretty well.
Can't say any thing really about the Jonas brothers.
