change that to "history is the version of past events that the rich, powerful and usually white males have decided to agree upon" and I'm with you. The winners win the chance to tell the tale. Though these days, that seems to be less and less true. Hooray for literacy, freedom of information, self-publishing and teh intrawebs. :)
