What's the one main warning people give you when you go out in the cold and ice and snow?

Don't slip and fall.

Guess who fell in the parking lot Monday afternoon? Um - that would be me. Back and shoulder started yelling their complaints almost at once.

Went home immediately and used moist heat on my back and took muscle relaxers and pain meds.

Each day has been better and looks like I didn't do any permanent damage. Just still a bit sore in the lower back and shoulder area.

I feel very lucky - another friend's husband fell this past weekend and broke his ankle in three places.

Ah Winter...no matter if it's up in the North or down here in Georgia, she gets her kicks. :)

Glad you're OK.

I worry less about those injuries that head injuries.

A friend of mine slipped a while back and banged her head. She doesn't have a lot of memories of that day or the days surrounding it. They aren't coming back. Having that kind of hole scares the crap outta me.

And last year I fell in my driveway on a patch of ice and went parallel to the pavement. Only some instinct told me to tuck my chin to my chest. With my heavy coat on it saved me from a massive head bang.

I tell you all that to say, you were lucky. Feel better. Keep safe and warm.

Here's hoping for a speedy recovery, then.
