I post/link an article that I think is fascinating and worth some serious conversation.  The only response is so filled with the usual rhetoric I just want to shut down all my accounts and give up having intelligent talk...

Some people are intolerant of certain beliefs, and are therefore unable to calmly state why they oppose those beliefs. This leads to viewing the opponent as being the same as the argument, and causing vicious attacks.

*hugs* Yeah I have been for the most part staying out of any thing that is political in nature for discussion on line. Mostly because I don't want the aggravation that is causes. I am more then happy to share my views in person though.

man thats always happened to me. thats why i stopped writing in LJ, and why i rarely post a thought that takes time to write down elsewhere. all i get is crickets.
